Last Friday of 2006

......and I'm at work. I think there is a grand total of 10 people here today. I will put in my 6 hours and then go home! I'm looking forward to the weekend. Three days alone with my HSS before DS comes home. I know we've been alone all week but I've had to work so it doesn't really count. We have nothing planned but will enjoy being together. They are predicting rain again so we'll be snug as bugs as we have nowhere to go. I may start my holiday scrapping or if I really feel frisky.........start straightening up the garage to get ready to put up the Christmas decorations. I usually don't take down my decorations until after the 6th............after Epithany....so I have another week to piddle.
I did all my returns last night after work. (ARG!!!!!!) I hit several more Targets trying to get more lights as I hadn't gotten enough to finish the house. Neither of the ones I went to had the same lights but the Brandon one did have another lighted Doe and after I bought it I realized it was animated. COOL!!!! So now we will have three. I may have to borrow some antlers from HSS's hunting stuff to make one of them a Buck. I ended up finding the same lights for the same price as Target at Joanns. I went ahead and used my GC for some stuff I could have lived without and got 6 more boxes of lights. When I return the ones I got that were to small, they will pay back my GC money. (It's my logic..don't try & figure it out)
I stopped at Wally World again this morning because I'd read some of them were clearancing their Cricut stuff. Alas, the one on BBD wasn't but I did pick up some Note card sets that are embossed but blank on the front & inside. I figured I could use them for a base and add to them since they came with envelopes & were only $1. I also picked up some clearance light clips for putting the lights on to the roof.......duh....I forgot them yesterday. I picked up a rug that I hope will fit the entry of our house as we need a "wipe your feet mat". I also got a SCALE. Now I really have no excuse to get back on track.
Well, the first of the month is our busiest time so I have things I MUST do today. Darn it!!!! I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful New Years weekend. I can tell you we will NOT be getting married this weekend. We decided to get one last BIG tax break before Uncle Sam dings us next year. I'm going to miss being POOR, single, & Head of household........LOL. Not enough to not change my marital status but why give the government any more of my money than they already got this year? Give some back!!!!! Maybe I can use the return for a honeymoon. Otherwise it will be the free night at the local Comfort Inn that we earned during all those trips to Georgia last year. With my luck that offer has expired. Speaking of offers.....I need to send in my receipts for a free set of Cricut mats for buying the cartridges "Santa" gave me for Christmas......better run.....till next time.........................

After Christmas sales

I avoided the after Christmas sales ......until this morning. I decided to check Target for lights as I wanted to add to the Icicle ones we had this year. I'd gotten our current ones at a yard sale for $1 a box but they only went on the front and not the sides or back. I also wanted some of those spiral trees & maybe some "animals" or figures. I ended up getting 6 boxes of Icicles @ 2.99 a box, a 42" lighted Doe & two boxes of spiral trees. The trees were the smaller ones but they were all they had. I had to return two pairs of DS's jeans to Wally World so I did & then checked their light selection. They were cleaned out but I managed to find one poor, lonely, small lighted doe in a torn up box. We checked and it appears to be all there. When I got it to the car & put it next to the Target one..I realized the WW one was half the size of the other one. That will look cute as it will look like a momma & baby. I think that is enough for next year's landscape. I'm trying to avoid tacky so I didn't buy any of the Blow up items. I'm sure my neighbors will appreciate that! LOL.
I heard from the kids yesterday and they had just arrived in NC. My DS was all excited about a place they are going today where he can "tube" down REAL SNOW MOM!!!!! I sure hope he has fun and someone remembers to take pictures. I wish I could be with them. Sorry....moment of pity party of one.
Not a-lot going on today. Trying to decide on a "date" but nothing firm yet. You would think after 30+ years & another 2 years waiting for the "OK" I'd have this figured out already but NOPE. Any Ideas??
Till later..................................

My Wish

Posted by Picasa

In case you've never heard the song by Rascal Flatts, I thought I'd post the words here.

I hope that days come easy and moments pass slow,
and each road leads you where you want to go,
and if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
and if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
if it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
all the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
and you help somebody every chance you get,
oh, you find god's grace, in every mistake,
and you always give more than you take

Chorus: more than anything, more than anything,
my wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it,
to your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
you never need to carry more than you can hold,
and while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
yeah, this, is my wish.

Some Christmas pictures

Here is a picture of my DD and the Kappa Delta stuff I've been telling you about.

Close up of her stuff. I made a Magnetic board, the KD letters, a board with "clip flowers", a picture frame with our picture from the recent KD event and the words to the song "MY WISH', another picture frame with all her KD sisters & a calendar.

Picture of me & the DS & DD on Christmas morning. I really love this picture.

Me & the snowman-Santa I got from my DS with a Joanns GC in his arms.

365 days till Christmas

Maybe 366..I didn't check to see if 2007 is a leap year. I hope everyone had a wonderful day. Ours didn't turn out like it was planned but it was very nice anyway. None of the relatives came over so the four of us had a nice dinner and a few quiet hours before the kids left for their dads.
Let me start from the beginning. As our story ended last time, I was up getting food into the oven & the rest of the family was asleep. My HSS woke about 8-ish and we drank coffee for about an hour, resting up before the day started. I was about to wake the kids up when my cell phone rang. It was my son....calling from his bedroom....."Mom, I have to go to the bathroom, can I come out??" LOL!!! I told him yes but not to look in the living room. I went & got his sister & hid her eyes and brought her into the living room to wait for her brother. When we finally had them both in the living room-eyes closed, we told them to go ahead & open their eyes so they could see what Santa had brought them.
We spent the next hour opening gifts, taking pictures & enjoying each others reactions to what they got. My HSS was taking pictures with the "good" digital camera while I took pictures with the smaller one. Between the two of us we got some good shots. I was to tired to put them on line, print or order pictures last night so it will be a few days before I can share them with you all. Check back for the fabulous family moments. I took pictures of all the KD stuff I had made DD (she LOVED it all) so you'll get to see them too.
The kids are now with their dad and on their way to SC & then to NC for the week. Don't forget to do my worrying for me if you are so inclined. I stopped by his apartment this morning on my way to work to give the kids another hug before they headed out. They thought I was silly for doing it but I really wanted to see them & kiss & hug them....so I did! I'm the mom, it's my right to be silly.
Did anyone go out shopping this morning?? Not me. I have 4 pieces of clothing to exchange and I wasn't about to do it with the crazy people out there today. My Joanns GC that I got is burning a hole in my pocket but it can wait a couple days. I will probably send my digital prints to CVS tonight to be developed and check out their after Christmas sale stuff but that's about it. I still have wrapping paper......I have NO MONEY...and there is nothing I need soooooooooooooooo.......you all have fun and tell me all about your fabulous finds.
Well, as usual, I'm at work and obviously not working so I better close for now and do something productive. I hope you all have a safe rest of the holiday season. Till later................

Merry CHRISTmas

The kids and my HSS are still sleeping. I snuck out of bed to put the turkey in the oven on the off chance it gets done before the kids have to leave for their dads. They didn't get here until 7:30 pm last night (3 hours late) so I plan to keep them here as long as possible.

They have always been, "You have to wake them up on Christmas morning" kids. I know....weird but true. Even when they were small. I never had to worry about them sneaking out & seeing anything before I was up & camera ready. They will sleep till noon if I let them.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day with family & friends. The way it looks, I may have 15 lbs of turkey left over so call me if you are close and hungry. I guess me & the HSS won't starve while the boy is out of town for the next week! God bless you all. Thanks to everyone that prayed for my DD to get back from AL. safely. Now I have to start "NOT worrying" about her and her brother and their trip to NC. Anyone that wants to "Worry" for me again.......well I can't stop you can I? thanks.

I'm sure I'll have pictures to post later of the fabulous Norman Rockwell Christmas we are about to have so--stay tuned..........................

BULLS WIN!!!!!!

The USF Bulls just won their Bowl game. WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO. We also think we saw DD in the crowd with less than 2 minutes left in the game. (If we are right, I'll let you know the exact time ..just in case you have the game on tape) Since she changed her hair color it's hard to tell but even HSS said it could have been her. Wouldn't that be cool! Stay tuned.

Update

I confirmed the girl we saw was my DD. She said she'd received several text messages from people saying they had seen her. I told her that we have it on tape so she can see it tomorrow when she gets home.

Presents are wrapped & the Bulls are on TV

I finished the outside decorations this morning. I bought a few pointsettas last night and added them to the front yard. They look really pretty. Speaking of pretty, our main Christmas catus is full of blooms.

I spent a few hours wrapping gifts last night and got them under the tree. Here's a peak at the tree & presents. The Santa is a vintage Coke Santa that originally would have had a bottle in his hand. It is one of two cardbord Coke Santas I have. He looks really cool standing next to the tree. He was on the Lanai to entertain the golfers but with the rain we brought him inside.

I'm getting ready to finish the last of my DD's gifts. I realized I forgot to take pictures of the other things I made before wrapping them...arg!! I'll just have to take pictures after she opens them.

I've got the "Papa Johns" Bowl game on since the USF Bulls are playing. My DD is at the game so I keep scanning the crowd for her. We are taping it so I can always go back later & take a closer look. So far the Bulls are dominating the East Carolina Pirates. It's half time so we'll see what happens in the second half.

I just wanted to check in & see how everyone is doing on this day before the day before Christmas. Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and not freaking out with last minute stuff.

BTW, here is the calendar I made for my Secret Santa co-worker.

Who's at work today??

ME :-( It is really quiet around here. I have a pile of stuff I've been putting off all week but as you can see I'm still not working on it. I had good intentions when I came in today but as soon as I sat down my phone rang. You have to understand...it was only 8:30am (which is EARLY for me) and my phone NEVER rings. It turned out to be my favorite co-worker who is OFF today calling to "Thank" me for helping another co-worker that is having a problem. ??????? I had no idea what she was talking about as the other co-worker hadn't approached me yet. I won't go into details but I wrote a letter (I'm kinda famous for my letters to get things done) and am waiting to see if it will be needed. Another co-worker is trying to help her and if that doesn't work, we'll try the letter. That took several hours so here I am at 11am and haven't done the first lick of work. I really need to at least send out the PCP letters that should have gone out last week. Oh...and put comments on all the patient accounts that I mailed information to...................and make the 6 charts...............and copy & mail stuff to another agency..............crap, I really should get this stuff done. Perhaps if other people around me appeared to be working it would inspire me. Nah. I'm just not in the mood.

The sky is dark, we are expecting rain for the weekend and possibly on Christmas day. My DD is driving to Birmingham, Al for the USF game...........yeah..Bowl Game on Saturday.......so I'm a little worried about her traveling at this time of the year and in bad weather. I guess I'll just try not to worry. My HSS says worrying is a sign you don't trust God. I understand that but I come from a long line of worriers...it's in our blood. I will try and not worry. If anyone else wants to do it for me, I can't stop you.

We watched MI3 last night. Yes, we may be the last people on the planet to see it but hey...we have a life!! Anyway, it was typical MI, action packed and pretty good. My HSS said he gets a kick out of watching movies with me because of my reaction to things. I jump, I close my eyes, I squeeze his hand at scary parts, I cry....etc. I told him, "Hey, they spend millions of dollars to make the stuff look real. The least I can do is react." He laughed and said it wasn't a bad thing..he just doesn't watch them with the "involvement" I do.

I have a few things to finish up for my DD and all my wrapping to do so my weekend will be fun. My DS leaves tonight for his dads so I'll drag the stuff out and get to work as soon as he leaves. I will post pictures of the stuff I made her after Christmas. I sure hope she likes it. I never know with her. I made her a scrapbook for Graduation and she actually cried when she opened it. I NEVER expected that kind of reaction. I'm sure hope my DS will enjoy the stuff he's getting since none of it is Video game related. I got him stuff to get his butt outside!!

Ok, better try & tackle this pile on my desk. I would like to leave early and get home before the rain starts & my DS leaves for the weekend. Till we meet again, a special hello to my "almost" SIL & my niece in Georgia. Thanks for looking.

Last day of school

for my DS. He was so disappointed last week when he found out Pasco Co. didn't get out for the holidays until the 22nd. Knowing that he didn't have to go back til 1/8 didn't make him feel better. A couple days ago he informed me that he was having a party in his 4th period class. If you knew my son you would know how much of a miracle that is........he usually doesn't tell me anything until AFTER the event...usually weeks after. I asked if he needed to bring anything and he didn't know. He went to school under threat of going to bed at 7pm to find out. He came home yesterday and announced as he came in the door, " My teacher said NOT to bring cupcakes and that I didn't have to bring anything unless I wanted to". Well, I can't send the kid to school without anything so I made 30 treat bags last night. I had him put the peppermints into the baggie and threatened him again if me whined about having to help. It took 3 hours but I got them all cut out & put together. I just hope he doesn't have more than 30 kids in his class.
He said he wasn't sure but it was between 20-30. Thanks....that's helpful!
I took him to school this morning so he didn't have to drag the big bag full of treat bags plus the six teachers gifts. I made him take the stuff around to his classrooms so he didn't stick them into his bookbag and forget to pass them out. He is probably muttering about me under his breath but at least I feel good about my efforts.
Speaking of tooting my own horn, I even put a gift for the mail carrier in the mail box this morning. I know some people give there paper boy & trash men gifts. Well, they don't bring me scrapbook magazines and boxes from craft sites so i didn't feel obligated. We just started getting the paper so I've never met my paper boy (man)......my garbage men's company has dumped us so NO GIFTS for them!!!! I sure hope the regular mail carrier brings the mail today and a sub doesn't snag her gift.
OK, I have avoided most of my work this week and really should accomplish something today and tomorrow. I haven't really worried about it since all the stuff I have to do (make medical charts) will then go on the desk of all the people that are already off for the holidays. Those of us that are not "career" employees do not get paid days off so I'm here everyday the office is open......waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!
Till next time.....................

Eating crow

OK, so how bad do I feel? After all the belly aching about my Secret Santa not giving me clues or trinkets it turned out to be a good friend of mine that is out on MATERNITY LEAVE. DUH!!!!! I should have figured it out when one of her friends was snooping around my desk last week. I kinda thought it must be the girl snooping but then I didn't get any hints. My Secret Santa came to the party today with her adorable baby boy and gave me the BIGGEST bottle of my favorite wine, dark chocolate Hershey kisses & bath beads. I told her how sorry I was for all the bad things I had said about her on here. She laughed..luckily she knows me well enough not to take me seriously.
My person seemed to like the calendar & even the tacky pointsetta. She said she didn't have any decorations at home so it was perfect. She's probably kidding but it was nice of her to say.
My DD & her cousin came by and had some food with us before heading to the beach. YES, I said the beach. Oh, to be young and carefree and live in Florida. I feel sorry for anyone up north...it's 80-ish here. The nights are cooler but the days are 70-80 degrees.
I wish I could take a nap but I really need to do alittle work & earn my pay. THANKS again to my SS for all my great stuff. Now I'm going to go write "I will not say mean things about people anymore" at least 10000000000 times......LOL.

What was I thinking?

Wally World..after work..6 days before Christmas....WHAT WAS I THINKING!!! Actually it wasn't to bad. I couldn't find anything for my Secret Santa person so I got her a tacky white pointsetta with BLUE Glitter on the flowers. That's what you get for not publishing a want list as instructed. I did come home and make her a pocket calendar that turned out kinda cute. She apparently collects Elephants...who knew Wallys World wouldn't have a blasted elephant anywhere in the store...so I found a piece of scrapbook paper I've had for at least 5-6 years that had a cute elephant on it. Cut it out and made the cover for the calendar. I'll take a picture and post it later today. Hope she likes it...at this point....I'm over the SS thing so................................better not say what I was thinking...Santa is still watching.
Have a great day and I'll be sure & let you know all about our exciting Christmas party/SS exchange.

One more week and we get back to normal

well.....what passes for normal in my world. I finished a few co-worker gifts last night so I could bring them all in today to pass out. We are having our office "party" tomorrow but not everyone will be here. We will find out who our secret Santa's are...speaking of which.....note to self....DO NOT participate again next year. I seem to get picked by the person that doesn't get into the spirit of the "leave little hints, gifts, etc the week before the party". I have been doing that for the person I drew but I haven't received they first hint or small trinket....hmmmmmmmmm...maybe they are saving up for a super fabulous gift tomorrow. We'll see.
I still have a few items to finish up and then I'll be a wrapping fool on Saturday. My DS goes to his dads for the weekend and that will give me a chance to pull everything out and spread out on the living room floor. The kids will be coming over Sunday afternoon and will be with us until Mid day on Christmas. Speaking of Christmas, we are having the folks over to our house for Christmas dinner (actually lunch since the kids have to leave about 2pm). My aunt (please pronounce it with the New England aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa or she will hit me on Monday) and her husband will be joining us as they are coming down from NY. She hasn't seen the new house so I guess I better finish decorating!! They are calling for rain so that could put a damper...no pun intended....on our eating out on the patio (oops, sorry...Lanai). We don't have a dining room table and our kitchen table only seats four so our 8 seater on the Lanai is our only "formal sit-down table". Guess we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
My co-workers and I just got back from eating lunch at a Vietnamese place and I feel as full as a tick. I really should have turned down the invite to go and ate the chicken left overs I brought from last night. Maybe I can convince myself to pass up dinner. I need to stop at Wally World after work to pick up a few things so maybe I can talk HSS & DS into eating left overs before I get home. I've regained the 3 lbs I'd lost last week. Think it's from all the sweets that are a constant fixture during this time of year? There were 6 dz Krispy Kreme donuts in the kitchen this morning and by noon they had been joined by a basket of cookies & muffins. One of the advantages/disadvantages of working for a state agency....every vendor brings us goodies.
Not a lot to talk about today but didn't want to disappoint my loyal followers. I'll try to find something witty to say tomorrow. Till then I'll leave you with one of my favorite questions:
"What have you done today to make you feel proud?"

Anyone have connections in the Traffic department?

I've been trying to find a status on the truck driver from Friday. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find the company listed on the side of his truck. I called the Highway Patrol and they have no record of an accident on that road at that time of day. I may try & call the Tampa Police department tomorrow. If anyone has connections please ask about a one vehicle accident at approximately 10-10:10 am on 12/15/2006. Truck vs power pole on Morris Bridge Road just North of Cross Creek Blvd. in New Tampa. The Cross Creek fire department responded so if anyone has a fireman connection...let me know.

In the mean time, let's continue to pray for the driver and his family if the out come was less than favorable. I'm worried that it was bad since the truck was still in the area almost 6+ hours after the accident. That is usually not a good sign.

I have some Christmas projects for work that have to get finished tonight so not sure you'll hear from me until tomorrow. Have a great night.

PS...for the people that know my DD and are SHOCKED at her change of hair color....she is almost 19, she didn't ask me before she did it, she likes it and at least she didn't put another piercing in her body!! Maybe she wants to be taken more serious...maybe she just felt like a change....who knows?? She is her mothers daughter in that she marches to her own drummer. Speaking of which, she just called and asked if I happen to have on an ugly Christmas sweater she could wear to a party tonight. Instead of being insulted I told her NO, but I have on a Christmas vest you may find tacky. I'm on my way to drop it off for her to borrow. LOL!!!

I saw Santa & other Sea World news

Posted by Picasa We had a wonderful time today at Sea World. I have lots of pictures to share but had to post this one of me having a chat with Santa Clause. Anyone that knows me well knows how fond of the "HoHo" I am. I have a collection of about a 1000+ vintage Santa's, snowmen, reindeer, Christmas houses...etc. They are in a cabinet, year round" in my scrap room. I tried to get my DS to get his picture taken with Santa yesterday but my 11 1/2 yr old wouldn't hear of it. As we were leaving Sea World today we walked by Santa's cottage and I asked him to take a picture. He said NO so I said..."Well then, I'm going to get my picture taken with him". Sure enough I went & waited in line with all the little kids and my HSS, God Bless him, stood with me ready to snap the shot. I sat down next to Santa and he asked if I had been a good girl? I said," Yes Santa." He nodded towards my HSS & said," If I asked him, would he say you had been a good girl?" I told him that my HSS would say I had been a VERY GOOD GIRL..The laughter you see in the picture is Santa cracking up when I said that.

The weather was perfect, slightly cloudy most of the day and about 75 over all. We saw every thing we wanted to and the crowd wasn't as bad as I expected. We had center stadium seats for the Shamu show and only 2-3 rows up from the official Soak zone. I didn't take my Zoom digital camera but it looks like the pictures turned out pretty good anyway.

Here is a picture of the my HSS, me & DS to leave you with until tomorrow. I drafted a person walking by to take the picture so we could all be in it. I think it turned out pretty good except for the closed eyes on my DS.

Picture of Truck wreck

I just got back from picking up the pictures that included the truck wreck from Friday. The picture doesn't really do the scene justice but it's pretty good considering the camera and I took it out my car window.

I sure hope the driver is OK. I'm going to try & track down the company now that I have the photos & the name on the side of the truck. I'll let you all know what I find out.

Me & DD at her sorority event

Posted by Picasa I'm really pleased with this picture. I needed a good one of the two of us for a project I'm working on. I can't really talk about it on the off chance "someone" reads this. I'll take pictures and post after Christmas.

We had fun at the KD event. It was at a beautiful house in South Tampa and they had a table full of fancy desserts. I sampled way to many!! We got a chance to chat with some of the Alumni KD ladies. Some of them have been KD's for 50 years. WOW!

After the event I dragged DD by a LSS and then one of my favorite Thrift Stores in S. Tampa. Now that I live in Pasco county I don't get there as much as I'd like. They had 50% off all Christmas items but I was a good girl and didn't get anything more than a "wooden bead" garland. I found a few things I can use to organize my scrapbooking stuff and something I hope to use as a pedestal for a vase in my Niche.

Since DD didn't eat much at the event she decided she was starving so we ended up at Pizza Hut. I didn't order anything because I knew she'd never finish her breadsticks & pizza. I has half right. The breadsticks were hard as rocks so I complained and we ended up getting a basket of 6 hot & fresh for free. I managed to snag 3 so I didn't starve!

Time to get to bed so we can get up early for Sea World. Hope you all had a great day.

Must act like a Lady today!

I should be in the shower getting ready but wanted to check in here first. According to the counter, someone is coming here....or it could just be me checking to be sure I added stuff correctly. Anyway.....I'm getting ready to go to a Sorority event with my DD in South Tampa so must mind my manners. Don't want to embarrass the poor child.

Tomorrow the HSS & I are taking the DS to Sea World. I can finally use the Page kit I bought almost a year ago! The weather is supposed to be beautiful so we should have a great day.

Speaking of which, if anyone is reading this..I hope you have a great day and wonderful weekend. Don't forget there are only 8 or 9 shopping days left before Christmas.

Till next time..............

In the blink of an eye

Good grief what an exciting morning I've had. I spent way to long at home trying to jazz up my blog so I was very late leaving for work. I take a LONG, semi-country, road to get to civalization and then it's another 4-5 miles to my office. I'm traveling down the country road and notice what looks like a dumpster sitting by the side of the road with smoke pouring out of it. Since there is a new house being built nearby I figured it was theirs. As I got closer the cars in front of me were slowing down and then came to a stop. Since I was already late I got irritated at the "rubber neckers" looking at the "smoking dumpster". I finally realized that what I was actually seeing was a truck that had left the road and taken out a power pole. The truck cab was wrapped partly around the bottom half of the power pole....the hood was on the ground and smoke was pouring out of the engine. The rest of the power pole was still attached to the wires and sparks were starting to pop.
I had been talking to my sister so I told her I needed to hang up & call 911. I did and they verified help was already on the way. The 911 operator wanted me to tell the people that were starting towards the cab to not touch it or let the driver touch anything because of the wires. I yelled to the guys that were trying to communicate with the driver but in typical men fashion..waved at me in a dismissive manner. About then, another person started directing traffic around the cars stopped in the road so I had to move.
I must confess I grabbed the camera I had in the car and snapped a couple pictures. I'm not sure if they will turn out and the camera is the old fashion..must get film developed ... so it may be a few days before I can post them.
A few minutes after getting past the accident I passed the first fire truck responding to the scene. Hopefully the truck driver is OK. I called my HSS & asked him to watch for news about it so I'll let you all know if I find anything out. In the mean time, pray (if you believe) for the driver that he is OK.

Wow.....I REALLY don't feel like working after that!

You all be really careful, everything can change in the Blink of an Eye.

You like me, you really like me!

Ok, most of you are probably to young to get that "Sally Fields" reference. If so...go take a nap you baby! LOL. Thanks for the comments on my new project. I'm going to try and figure out all the bells & whistles and make this a kick-butt site. I'm afraid this weekend may not be the best time to do that as I actually have stuff planned with that family I kinda mentioned yesterday...makes them sound mysterious doesn't it...anyway, we have plans on Saturday and Sunday so you may have to just wait a few days.
I think I added some web tools I got from "Bravenet" but I'm not sure they worked. I want to put one of those counters and ways to add my favorite blogs so you can all check them out & waste all your time too..but I'm not sure I did it right. Since I really should go to work I will have to add that to my "to do" list.
Sis, tell "C" I hope he is feeling better.
Bye for now.....hmmmm...maybe I should come up with a cool sign off phrase. Did Katie Couric ever figure out hers for the Evening news?? I'll work on that or you can give me suggestions. Remember this is a "Family Blog" so keep it clean.

My first post-let the fun begin

Everyone I know , or so it seems, has a Blog. I've debated about getting one for a while. Goodness knows I'm interesting enough ..LOL...but would anyone really care to visit my site? I've decided to give it a try and even if it turns out for my own entertainment it should be fun.

I'm not sure how often I'll post or what the content will be so come on along for the ride. I'll share my creations using my favorite new toy-the Cricuit. I'll use it to introduce people to "Top Line Creations aka TLC" since I'm a consultant for that fabulous scrapbook company. I'll use it to share ideas that either I come up with or those that I scrap-lift (with permission of course) from people much more talented than me! I may even make this interactive with contests & prizes...who knows! I've certainally got enough stuff in my scrap book room that I could afford to give some away....hmmmmm..let me think about that.

Since I can be very opinionated, and very few people get my humor, I'll try not to use this for a "soap box". I'll share a little about my family but plan to, for the most part, leave them out of the limelight. They don't need people knowing every time they do something silly. Since they are the reason I scrap (oh..........get the name of the blog now??) and the subject of most of my LO's you'll "meet" them anyway.

Now for the shameless plug:
If you are interested in knowing more about "TLC" feel free to check my website at http://www.topline-creations.com/consultant/default.aspx?Consultant=424644 .

Ok, I've officially finished my first post. Wow, that wasn't so painful.

Until next time....
