New Year, Old Crap

That's how I've spent my first day of 2009...cleaning. I had several projects planned but ended up cleaning out my master closet which wasn't even on my to do list. I decided to straighten up a couple things in the closet and the next thing I knew it was hours later and I had rearranged/straightened the entire closet, including rearranging all of my clothes.

I did take down a few Christmas items (the SLAH ones) so I could put the boxes out in the newly straightened out garage. I put regular stuff back into the niche and then gave up on the holiday stuff. I did pull out all of the spare crap piled up in my scrap room and dragged it into the boys room. That will make it easier to go through before putting it back into the room. I separated the stuff to make it easier to go through & file.

I don't usually take down my tree until Jan 6th but may get it all put away early this year. Since I only used a table top tree it won't be to hard to get taken apart and put up. I really need to get the outside decorations put up so the garage cleaning can get finished.

Did anyone watch the crazy motorcycle guy that jumped up onto the top of the Arc in Vegas and then jump back down onto a ramp? CRAZY.

How did you spend your New Years? Resolutions?

Til later............

I did the same closet cleaning thing...and OUI! What was I thinking??? I made a bigger mess, but it is nice to have a much more organized mess. lol

I have some resolutions. I'm particular about sharing, but I'm considering writing them down anyway in hopes of following through. I guess I don't like to say something that I'm afraid I won't follow through on & have everyone look at me like "that LOSER!" I need to get over it,huh!?!

I don't do resolutions. In my journal, I write a list of things I HOPE to do or accomplish in the new year, but I don't resolve anything, lol. January is historically a bad month for me--lots of surgeries over the years in January, plus Steve injured his back in Jan. 03, and my cancer diagnosis was in Jan. 05--so even though I have my birthday and other important dates this month, I don't like it. Now I have an appt. with my oncologist for next week, to rule out a cancer recurrence as the cause of all the pain in my ribs. :-(

My only "resolution" is to try to stay alive, lol.
